Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council are looking to start implementation of the Heaton Moor Street Improvement scheme some time in February.
According to comments from the Highways section made to Nick Atherton earlier this week, detailed designs are being progressed and will then be handed over to a contractor for pricing. The extent of the proposals to be implemented this financial year will be determined by the cost. If the entire scheme can’t be afforded this year then funding MAY be available in the next financial year to finish it off. One objection was received back from the advertising of the Traffic Regulation Orders which related to the speed hump proposed at the bottom of Shaw Road. Whilst this is being considered by the council, the rest of the scheme design will be finished and progressed to implementation.
