SUMMARY
A new school building was proposed near the Surrey Hills AONB on the southern edge of Merstham facing into greenbelt. The school replaced an existing smaller outdated building with a larger footprint in a different arrangement. Our landscape strategy ensured that the building and grounds blended comfortably into the existing landscape and the LVIA report successfully demonstrated that the scheme could be accommodated. Planning permission was given in 2020. We were subsequently appointed for full scheme design and contract supervision (RIBA stages 3 to 6). For full scheme details click here.
